Calcium Batteries - Their Advantages and Disadvantages

Posted on Apr 28, 2015

With so many different types of batteries out there in the market, it can be hard to choose which one suits you best. Calcium batteries are one of the most common types of high-capacity batteries, and are often used in passenger and commercial vehicles, as well as various other marine uses.

These batteries generally have higher CCAs than other types of batteries, this is mainly due to their more modern chemistry when compared to other battery technologies. As a result of this, Calcium Batteries also tend to have slower self-discharge rates and a longer lifespan than traditional batteries.

In addition to the aforementioned benefits of these batteries, their price is generally very similar to those of other technologies such as Lead Acid.
